We believe being an active part of a small home environment, and able to participate in the local community, helps maintain cognitive function,    and adds to the quality of life.

Unfortunately, a person requires so much assistance with personal care, they have to move from their home. At Las Palmas, we are aware of this tragedy, but feel that we can offer a "home" and an opportunity to live a quality life, and add a  "new" chapter to their life-story.

Las Palmas strives to provide a personal "home" environment where individual chores/needs are met [dressing, laundry, bathing, meals, etc.], leaving time and energy for the "quality" aspects  of life [communication, participation, sense of gratification, sense of control, etc.]. All residents are encouraged to actively participate in all decisions related to their care, activities and life choices at Las Palmas, and be part of the immediate community in Sebastopol
